SIGLEC1 and viral infectious disease: Considering the difficulties to implement large scale diagnosis, illustrated by the current Coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic, we further evaluated the preservation of the CD169 marker on a cohort of COVID‐19 patients, since CD169 was recently described by our team and others as a relevant biomarker of acute viral infections such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome induced by Coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2).[14, 15, 16]
