VIM and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia: By dissecting HS1 molecular function in CLL cells, it was established that HS1 takes part in the formation of a complex together with the ZAP-70 kinase and several cytoskeleton adapters (HIP-55 and cortactin) and that it co-localizes with F-actin and Vimentin, thereby showing an enrolment in regulation of the B-cell cytoskeleton (Muzio et al., 2007).
