The most studied one, the OTR rs53576 GG genotype was associated with insecure attachments, poor response to social support, emotional dysregulation, and less resilience to stress (Bradley et al., 2011; Cicchetti and Rogosch, 2012; Sippel et al., 2017b), all factors resulting in a greater vulnerability to psychiatric disorders related to traumatic experiences (Feldman et al., 2016) and to environmental context (Champagne and Curley, 2009; Olff et al., 2013; Dannlowski et al., 2016).
