Histone methyltransferases EZH2 and H3K27me3 catalyzed by EZH2 are significantly upregulated in Kupffer cells of mice with liver failure, which can trigger the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF, and activate NF-κB and protein kinase B (Akt) signaling pathways to participate in the pathogenesis of liver failure. Here, TNF is linked to Hepatic failure.
