Increased miR-34c expression was mediated by the ROS-JNK-p53 pathway and negatively regulated synaptotagmin 1 (SYT1) expression by targeting the 3′-UTR of the Syt1 mRNA in subjects with AD, and inhibition of miR-34c improves the memory deficits in an AD model (Shi et al., 2020). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
