Specifically, GSK3β phosphorylation (which is inhibitory) has been shown to be negatively correlated with depression-like behavior in mice exposed to HFD for 16 weeks (Papazoglou et al., 2015), which is consistent with studies showing that the inhibition of GSK3β leads to antidepressant-like effects in mice (Kaidanovich-Beilin et al., 2004; Omata et al., 2011; Perez-Domper et al., 2017).
