In addition, we also discovered that MALT1 positively correlated with disease severity of AIS patients, which might be explained as that MALT1 might cause an increased production of pro‐inflammatory cytokines by regulating the NF‐κB signaling pathway, as mentioned earlier, thus further leading to more advanced disease severity in AIS patients.7, 8, 9.
