To further investigate the clinical significance of CTSA in HCC, we analyzed the relationship between clinicopathological variables records and CTSA expression from the TCGA database and 136 HCC patients and found that the high mRNA expression of CTSA was significantly associated with vascular invasion, TNM staging, serum AFP level, neoplasm histology grades, adjacent hepatic inflammation, tumor recurrence, and survival. This evidence concerns the gene CTSA and hepatocellular carcinoma.
