In lung cancer, RDM1 is highly expressed in cancer cell lines and tissues, and its overexpression is reported to be correlated with histological differentiation, tumour size, lymph node metastasis and tumour‐node‐metastasis (TNM) stage, suggesting RDM1 potentially repairs DNA double‐strand breaks arising through DNA replication, thereby preventing G2/M cell cycle arrest.5 This evidence concerns the gene RDM1 and cancer.
