CYP7A1, CYP1A2, CYP2B6, CYP2C19, CYP2D6, CYP2E1, and CYP4F8 mRNA enzymatic activity and protein expression are reported to significantly decrease in response to hepatic inflammation, steatosis, and the progression of NAFLD in the liver (56–58), as shown in this study in the CAS control group presenting more liver inflammation than SPI group results. Here, CYP4F8 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
