ITGA2 and cancer: The overexpressed integrin α (ITGA) subfamily genes ITGA2 and ITGA3 are predicted to be involved in cancer-related pathways such as PI3K-Akt signaling pathway and FA interacting with ECM genes such as laminin (LAMB3, LAMA3, and LAMC2) and collagen (COL10A1, COL12A1) (Grzesiak and Bouvet, 2006; Hamada and Masamune, 2018; Yang et al., 2019).
