The levels of IL-12, IFN-γ, and IL-17A, mainly expressed in the Th1/17 cells, and of IL-1β and TNF-α, mainly expressed in the microglia/macrophages are usually higher in the blood, CSF, and lesion sites of the patients with MS, compared with healthy individuals and those cytokines have close relations with the progression of MS33–36. Here, IL17A is linked to myeloid sarcoma.
