Our results showed that Dvl-3 was highly upregulated in the FD myopia (see Figs. 3D, 3E), we specifically inhibited the activity of Dvl-3 in FD myopia mice in vivo with oral gavage of a small molecule niclosamide, which is a US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved anthelminthic drug that has been previously identified as a canonical Wnt pathway inhibitor.22 The gene discussed is DVL3; the disease is myopia.
