Numerous studies showed that in lung cancer, the hypermethylation modification of the CpG island in promoter regions of tumor suppressor genes, such as FHIT, p16, MGMT, RASSF1A, APC, and DAPK, leads to the occurrence of lung cancer and poor prognosis in lung cancer patients [6–8]. This evidence concerns the gene DAPK1 and lung carcinoma.
