In the same baseline condition, female mice showed a similar trend of anhedonia (decreased sucrose preference; #, p = 0.071) after Shisa6 overexpression in D1-MSNs, while other behaviors showed decreasing trends of anxiety (increased open arm time in elevated-plus maze; #, p = 0.054) and despair-like behaviors (decreased immobile time; #, p = 0.073) (Supplementary Fig. 13j–q).
