Our study characterises the relationship between genetic variants in TPCN2 and P2RX4 (shown in Fig. 1) and cancer both at a global level and in specific types of cancer that include malignant neoplasms of the brain, breast, bronchus, lung, colon, lymphoid and haematopoietic systems, skin, lip, oral cavity and pharynx, ovary, prostate, rectum, thyroid gland, and urinary tract in terms of cancer risk, disease recurrence, malignancy, and metastasis in the UK Biobank population. This evidence concerns the gene P2RX4 and cancer.
