The presence of AgNP and MA in our nanocomposite seems to be related to the higher production of the pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α (compared with control groups) and chemokine MIP-1-α, seems to induce the inflammatory process, usually observed in the early stages of infection and could be related with the reduction of the parasite load through the production of ROS which is also an inflammatory marker. This evidence concerns the gene CCL3 and infection.
