Zhang et al. (2017) showed that Notch4 is significantly highly expressed in human prostate cancer (PCa), and can promote the progression and metastasis of PCa through cell growth, apoptosis, migration, invasion, and the EMT. Another study (De Francesco et al., 2018) showed that Notch-related signaling pathways can promote the occurrence and development of breast cancer by regulating the EMT. The gene discussed is NOTCH4; the disease is prostate cancer.
