Interestingly, IR-induced 14-3-3ζ promotes invasion of ErbB2-positive breast cancer cells, which display enhanced downstream PI3K/Akt signaling activity (35); this aligns with our hypothesis that 14-3-3ζ and its potential regulator FSCN1 will be ideal therapeutic targets in PI3K/Akt-overactive tumor cells. This evidence concerns the gene FSCN1 and breast cancer.
