Interestingly, in a similar manner to ADAM9, VEGF levels also increased sharply 4-hours post-hypoglycemia compared to the 2h post-hypoglycemia, hypoglycemia or baseline timepoints (4h vs 2h: 9947 ± 225 vs 9026 ± 185 RFU of VEGF, p=0.002; 4h vs hypoglycemia: 9947 ± 225 vs 8894 ± 208 RFU of VEGF, p=0.001; 4h vs baseline: 9947 ± 225 vs 9037 ± 188 RFU of VEGF, p=0.003) (Figure 4B).
