Therefore, plasma ADAM9 levels were determined and showed that ADAM9 did not differ at baseline between control and T2D subjects (1107 ± 60 vs 1255 ± 81 RFU of ADAM9, T2D vs control, p=ns) but were decreased following hypoglycaemia in T2D (1h and 2h post-hypoglycemia) (Figure 4A).
