GBA1 and Parkinson disease: Surprisingly, in a cohort of early PD patients mostly carrying mild GBA variants (89% p.N370S), patients showed higher specific binding ratio (SBR) in the contralateral caudate and putamen when compared with noncarriers (54), and higher SBR values in caudate, putamen, and striatum were also reported in non-manifesting p.N370S carriers relative to healthy controls (55).
