CCN3 and gastric cancer: Cheng et al. (2014) reported Cyr61/CTGF/Nov (CCN) proteins are part of a family of matricellular proteins that participate in GC carcinogenesis. Prior studies also revealed high CCN2 expression in GC correlated with a greater number of lymph node metastases, peritoneal dissemination, and shorter survival (Liu et al., 2007; Liu et al., 2008; Jiang et al., 2011).
