Taken together, these finding indicated that HOXB9 is highly expressed in human high-grade PCa which is enriched with ALDH+ CD44+ CXCR4+ CD24+ cells and silencing HOXB9 significantly improved the sensitivity to various chemotherapeutic agents and decreased the metastatic ability of ALDH+CD44+CXCR4+CD24+ cells. This evidence concerns the gene CD44 and posterior cortical atrophy.
