Increased frequency of NK cells and CD8 + T cells in the spleen was similarly observed in tumor-bearing mice (p < 0.0001) (Fig. 4f), indicating that despite the observation that mRBC-240 cells do not distribute to the tumor microenvironment, mRBC-240 can activate CD8 + T cells and NK cells in the spleen, which may lead to tumor growth inhibition.
