The activity of serum SOD was significantly decreased in all studied groups: incidentaloma (-43%, p < 0.0001), pheochromocytoma (-47%, p < 0.0001), and Cushing's/Conn's adenoma (-37%, p < 0.0001) as compared to the healthy controls (Figure 1(a)). The gene discussed is SOD1; the disease is hereditary pheochromocytoma-paraganglioma.
