Stratification analysis revealed that both heterozygous and homozygous mutations of the FTO IVS1-27777 C>A and IVS1-23525 T>A SNPs were correlated with a decreased risk of pancreatic cancer among participants with BMIs <25 kg/m2 but were correlated with an increased risk among participants with BMIs >25 kg/m299. The gene discussed is FTO; the disease is pancreatic neoplasm.
