To investigate whether inflammatory processes could be involved in the pathophysiology of CDD, we counted the number and analyzed the morphology of microglia (AIF-1-positive cells) in the hippocampus and cortex of male (-/Y) and female (+/-) Cdkl5 KO mice and wild-type (+/Y, +/+) littermates. This evidence concerns the gene AIF1 and craniodiaphyseal dysplasia.
