Our results further showed that the levels of phosphorylated Akt, phosphorylated GSK-3β, and Snail were increased when the protein level of CHN1 was strongly enhanced, and the same tendency occurred when CHN1 was attenuated, suggesting that CHN1 might be required for the activation of Akt/GSK-3β/Snail to promote metastasis in cervical carcinoma. The gene discussed is SNAI1; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
