ALOX5 and COVID-19: This demonstrated an upregulation of ALOX5 (5-lipoxygenase)–ALOX15 interaction products as highlighted by increases in RvD6, RvD5n-3 DPA, and RvE4, and a decrease in CYP450 (cytochrome P450)–ALOX5 interaction products evidenced by a downregulation in 15-epi-LXB4 in patients with COVID-19 when compared with healthy volunteers (Figure 1B).
