The most overrepresented pathways in the remaining hypothalamus were: acute phase response signalling, hepatic fibrosis/hepatic stellate cell activation, opioid signalling pathway, neuroprotective role of THOP1 in Alzheimer's disease, LXR/RXR Activation, STAT3 pathway, tight junction signalling, cardiomyocyte differentiation via BMP receptors, production of nitric oxide and reactive oxygen species in macrophages, and circadian rhythm signalling (Supplemental Table S7). This evidence concerns the gene THOP1 and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
