NPPB and hydrops fetalis: NT-proBNP plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of CHF and is considered as an independent prognostic marker in CHF.[33,34] In the subgroup analysis of the landmark Paradge-HF trial, compared with patients whose concentration of NT-proBNP remained above 1000 pg/mL, patients whose NT-proBNP fell below 1000 pg/mL at 1 month after randomization incurred 59% fewer deaths or admissions with HF.
