Additionally, immunofluorescence analysis of the levels of Tet2, 5mC, 5hmC and DNMTs showed that, in Sjögren’s syndrome (SS) patients, the levels of both 5mC and DNMTs were decreased, while those of Tet2 and 5hmC were increasingly enriched in salivary gland inflammatory cells. This evidence concerns the gene TET2 and Sjogren syndrome.
