ACLY and autoimmune polyendocrinopathy: The antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is a systemic autoimmune condition characterized by the persistent elevation of antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL), such as anticardiolipin antibodies (aCL), lupus anticoagulant (LA), and anti-beta2 Glycoprotein 1 (aβ2GPI), in patients with thromboembolic events and/or pregnancy-related morbidity (1) (Box 1).
