MYD88 and infection: Infections of MYD88−/− macrophages or IL-12−/− macrophages with SbRLD induced high levels of IL-10 at 4 h, whereas the level of the same cytokine was increased after 12 h in WT macrophages, indicating that the absence of IL-12 favoured early binding of NF-κβ subunits to the IL-10 promoter, leading to the increase of IL-10 levels.
