As we have observed that 3-DZNeP can restore loss of E-cadherin and inhibit the excessive expression of α-SMA and Collagen I, two hallmarks of EMT and myofibroblasts, we further examined whether EZH2 plays a role in the regulation of the classical profibrotic TGF-β/Smad signaling pathways in LPS-induced ARDS-associated fibrosis. The gene discussed is EZH2; the disease is acute respiratory distress syndrome.
