Chen et al. used lentiviral gene transfer to transform human NK cell line NK-92 into anti-CD5 CAR (CD5CAR), which could target several T cell leukemia and lymphoma cell lines as well as primary tumor cells and contained the intracellular signaling domain CD3 zeta either with two costimulatory domains (CD28 and 4-1BB). Here, CD5 is linked to T-cell leukemia.
