Results obtained by [54] indicated that Aronia melanocarpa anthocyanins have anti-fibrotic effects on CCl4-induced liver injury in mice, whereas anthocyanins showed the ability to inhibit the transforming growth factor-β signaling pathway and reducing the expression of inflammatory factors such as TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor α) and interleukin-1 (IL-1). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and injury.
