SCN4B and breast carcinoma: Bioinformatic gene expression analyses, using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the UCSC Xena browser (https://xenabrowser.net accessed on 19 December 2020), confirmed initial studies [29] indicating that the SCN4B gene, coding for NaVβ4, is significantly down-regulated in all breast cancer stages compared with adjacent non-tumoral breast tissues (Figure 1a).
