Several preclinical studies have demonstrated that CAR T cells expressing chemokine receptors, including C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 1 (CXCR1), CXCR2, CCR2, CCR4, and C-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CCR2b), showed enhanced trafficking to tumor lesions and superior antitumor efficacy (Table 1) [104,105,106,107,108,109].
