In another recent report, we discovered the promise of a new IL-27 cytokine, targeted at the C-terminus with a short ‘peptide L’ (pepL, LSLITRL), which binds the interleukin 6 receptor α (IL-6Rα) upregulated in tumor cells [11] for reducing prostate tumor growth (IL27pepL or 27pepL) [4,12].
