In summary, we consider that we succeeded in demonstrating In Vitro and in silico that a possible receptor for tetanus neurotoxin is the endogenous receptor for Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), TrkB; based on this discovery, we have described a synthetic molecule capable of displacing the toxin from its protein receptor, and therefore, it could be a good antidote to tetanus disease. Here, BDNF is linked to tetanus.
