Recently, Vancauwenberghe et al. [44] showed that overexpression of a mutant isoform of the Ca2+ permeable ion channel transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily A member 1 (TRPA1) in CAFs promotes resistance to resveratrol-mediated apoptosis in prostate cancer cells, and that this occurs in a calcium-dependent manner. Here, TRPA1 is linked to prostate carcinoma.
