An eQTL analysis of The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA; Cancer Genome Atlas Research Network [90]) data, comprising about 1000 prostate tissue sample, has shown that the presence of allele G correlates with elevated transcription levels of the PCAT19 and CEACAM21 genes, both involved in the prostate cancer cell growth and tumor progression [20].
