To determine if differences in cell cycle arrest and the accumulation of increased DNA content prior to cell death were due to p53 status and not to other differences between neuroblastoma cell lines, we determined DNA content in two p53WT neuroblastoma parent cells (LAN5) and compared DNA content to the same cells transduced with a p53 knockdown construct (Figure 3, right panel). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and neuroblastoma.
