Infectious mononucleosis results from the mutagenic variation of HLA-class I, Burkitt lymphoma arises from B cell proliferation due to MYC translocation, Hodgkin’s lymphoma is caused due to the critical role of NF-Kb, EBV produces “trogocytosis” in the development of NK/T cell lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma occurs due to functional polymorphism of MAP2K4 suppressor gene [5,6,7]. The gene discussed is MAP2K4; the disease is nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
