A minor B-lymphoblastic component of medium sized cells with high N/C ratio was identified in 2/11 cases, whereas in 1/11 cases, 5–10% of mast cells (tryptase+, CD117+, CD25−) were identified, mainly dispersed and occasionally in tiny paratrabecular aggregates, not meeting the current 2017 WHO criteria for a concomitant diagnosis of systemic mastocytosis (SM). The gene discussed is KIT; the disease is systemic mastocytosis.
