Variables achieving a p-value of ≤0.1 in univariate analysis were used to fit a full model of logistic regression analysis, with the following exceptions: (1) NIHSS score was included as sole clinical severity score and NLR as a pooled measure of complete blood count markers, to reduce redundancy; (2) dyslipidemia and hemoglobin (Hb) values were not included due to the questionable clinical significance of the results; (3) ICH score was not included due to potential collinearity with its component parameters. This evidence concerns the gene GSTM1 and metabolic syndrome.
