Notably, we also found that the presence/absence of IDR-encoding AS exons in the DIAPH1, MARK3, ADD3, and MAP3K7 mRNAs was correlated with gemcitabine sensitivity in a panel of breast cancer cell lines, further supporting the notion that aberrant AS regulation plays a pivotal role in cancer cells drug resistance and/or susceptibility [58].
