MAZ and neuroblastoma: circCUX1 (hsa_circ_0132813), highly expressed in neuroblastoma, is located in the nucleus, consists of exon 2 and partial intron 2 of CUX1 gene, and interacts with EWS RNA-binding protein 1 (EWSR1), inhibiting the EWSR1-mediated transactivation of MYC-associated zinc finger protein (MAZ) and promoting CUX1 transcription, glycolysis and neuroblastoma progression [36].
