Kreitman et al. found combination therapy of indefinite duration (median of 17 months) based on dabrafenib (150 mg twice daily) with the MEK inhibitor trametinib (2 mg once daily) is effective and well tolerated in 43 relapsed/refractory HCL patients with presence of a BRAF V600E mutation [17] who were not previously treated with a BRAF inhbitor. Here, BRAF is linked to hairy cell leukemia.
